- Stand facing a sturdy step or raised platform, with feet hip width apart. Have a dumbbell in each hand down by your sides, palms facing your body.
- Step your right leg up onto the step, using this leg only, push upwards so that your left leg is brought up onto the step.
- Once both feet are on the step, return your right leg back to the floor, followed by your left leg.
- Repeat the movement but starting with the left leg this time.
